.NET Gadgeteer Jumpstart - Programming Gadgets in C#

Prototyping small electronic devices has never been easier! .NET Gadgeteer, based on the .NET Micro Framework, is an open-source standard for rapid prototyping devices that makes use of easy-to-connect hardware modules and straightforward C# programming. Wiring up a new gadget takes minutes (or less)...just select the modules you need and snap them together. Then fire up Visual Studio, graphically describe how your device is wired, and write the code using your existing C# skills. No soldering, assembly language, or hair loss required. This session presents an overview of the hardware and software involved, shows you how to get started, discusses the issues unique to this relatively tiny programming environment, walks you through demo C# code that works with several Gadgeteer modules, and provides pointers to additional .NET Gadgeteer resources.
